Bond Projects:
The core of the bond proposal centers around building two new comprehensive high schools, replacing the aging facilities that are currently 95 and 62 years old. The plan for these new 6A high school campuses prioritizes accommodating 3,800 students as a baseline, with the flexibility for phased expansion to align with enrollment forecasts for the next decade. This bond proposal also covers improvements at the middle schools, improvements to aging facilities, a new elementary school, and district-wide safety and security projects.
The projects intentionally support Midland ISD in grade reconfiguration of all campuses and positions the district as well-equipped to tackle capacity challenges projected through 2033.
